Donna M. Miller, PTA
Donna graduated from Maria College as a physical
therapist assistant in 1981. She has had diverse work
experiences during her many years working in the P.T. field
including Boston's Children Hospital, private pediatric physical
therapy practices, orthopedic and sports medicine and acute care
facilities.
She has worked for P.T. Associates of Schenectady since 1992,
primarily in their Clifton Park office. Currently she is working
full-time at the Amsterdam office. Donna has attended multiple
continuing education courses, including pre-natal and post-natal
exercise instruction, as well as several manual therapy,
orthopedic and functional stabilization courses. She has been
instructor of Spine Education classes and a cardio circuit
training program.
Alexander
Chlopecki II, MS, PT
Native
of Scotia, NY and graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School.
Alex received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Physical Therapy from
D’Youville College, Buffalo, NY (1994) and has 13 years experience in
Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He has developed an eclectic approach
to rehabilitation focusing on manual therapy, motor control, spinal
stabilization, neuromuscular re-education, functional and sport specific
rehabilitation. Specialties include: Orthopedic and Sports Physical
Therapy, Spinal Dysfunction and Rehabilitation of the Injured Runner.
Alex places a high emphasis on core stability and functional training to
allow patients to return to their highest level of function at work,
play and living..
During his free time, Alex enjoys golf, mountain biking, trail running,
hiking, skiing, snowboarding and multi-sport events. He is an ADK 46er
(#5633), and active member of the ADK Mtn Club.

Shelley Smith Brahler , MS, PT
I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology and Mathematics from Hartwick
College, Oneonta NY. I played and captained intercollegiate field hockey
and Lacrosse during my four years at Hartwick.
I completed my Masters degree in Physical Therapy at Boston University
and graduated in 1998.
Since graduating, I have been a Physical Therapist and manager of the
Amsterdam office for Physical Therapy Associates of Schenectady for the
past 10 years.
I have worked as the physical therapist for top ATP tennis professionals
when they appear in Central Park, Schenectady for the World Team Tennis
tournaments.
Some of my interests including working with foot injuries including
orthosis and proper footware. I have been trained in a Return to golf
program which incorporates body mechanics, proper technique and physical
flexibiliy and fitness. I enjoy working with a strong variety of patient
problems which can range form recovery from surgery or athletic
injuries, to working on balance and return to daily life activities.
I definitely prefer to incorporate manual therapy techniques into my
treatment programs including myofascial release and soft tissue
mobilization techniques.
